It was over a year ago when I first step on the white sand of Lakawon Island Resort in Cadiz Viejo, Negros Occidental.

During that time, the island had suffered devastation caused by the storm. Trees had fallen, the sand had collapsed into the sea.

The New Lakawon Island Resort and Spa

lakawon island

In our visit just this week, we were able to explore the new Lakawon Island and it has improved too much since our last visit there a year ago.
image

Memories flashed back when I saw the beach but I will not talk about our memories there. The truth is, the cottages we had stayed there a year ago has been closed as the land becomes a private property. The development was made on the other half of the lakawon island where umbrella cottages and nipa cottages are built.
image

They have also beach football and beach volleyball areas for sports persons who wants to savour their island adventure.
image

A large restobar also offers refreshing drinks and sumptous meals to their guests.
image

There are also plenty of nipa night cottages for those who wanted to stay overnight.
image

If you are more of a good camper, they have also tents available.
image

The comfort rooms are also classy. You can choose to shower outside or in their comfort rooms.
image

Want to grill ssomething? No problem, they have now centralized grilling station.
image

If you wanted to stay just on top of the water, be like a boss with their floating cottage.
image

The sea bridge is also a mark. Take your photos over or under the bridge, or you can take photos on both.
image

Party people? A stage has been also put up so you can host a party or a program.

you may hire a van since lakawon is too far from Campuestohan. If you prefer going on a public transportation: Ride a jeep/tricyle from Campuestohan to Bacolod City, then from Bacolod City to North Terminal, From North Terminal going to Crossing Cadiz (Cadiz Viejo), ride a tricycle from Cadiz Viejo to port going lakawon and from the port, you can arrange your boat going to lakawon island.

Can the tents be used for overnight? I will be travelling there solo and rooms are somehow expensive.

    Hi,

We are planning to have a summer getaway this month with my barkada and we’re from Dumaguete, can you please provide us a breakdown of fare fees from our location to Lakawon. Thanks a lot ?

    1. Avatar

Not sure how much the fare is from your location in Dumaguete to Bacolod but that will just be an additional to the travel itinerary that I have presented. Hope you have a memorable vacation. Cheers!

Can i ask if the boat has a life vest for per person ? And how much does cost per person ride and the boat ? How about the children ?

    1. Avatar

Life vests are available per person as required. The rates are standard as you can see in the post including children. Infants and toddlers might be free of charge.

    Hello po,
My friends and I are planning to go there are the fees going to change if there’s an event? Plan po kasi namin to go kasi may event for that evening so overnight kami. We want to plan things out para budget sa trip and an awesome get together. Around 5-8 people cguro kami for that trip. Any suggestions? TY.

    1. Avatar

If its an event organized by the Lakawon Management, it depends if they will have an ‘entrance fee’ exclusively for the event but pretty much that the regular charges would still apply.

Hi, we’ll gonna have a day trip only, can we use our own tent? or if ever we changed our mind, can we still use our own tent for overnight? Or we need to rent for our overnight stay?? Thanks ?

    Hi !

Yung sa boat po ba, parang public Transportation po ba sya- from 5am – 5pm? consecutive po ba yung byahe ng boat at every how many hours/minute po yung interval ng byahe ng boat? o kailangan nyong mag rent ng boat tapos kung mag-isa ka lang shoulder mo lahat? I’m planning to go there kasi eh, I’m thinking pa kung magsasama ako ng companion. Pero plano ko ako lang mag-isa. Yung ina-alala ko lang e yung boat papunta sa island. Thanks

    1. Yung tent po ba na 300/head is good for overnight?

    2. Kamuata po ang signal for data specially for globe? Thanks

    1. Avatar

Hi Josh. The payment for the tent is good for an overnight stay. The signal is not that good. You may experience intermittent connection and mobile data may be unusable.

  10. Avatar

Hi! We will be coming from Iloilo Airport. How many hours will it take to go to Lakawon Island? Thanks!

    1. Avatar

I believe they have enough cottages to accommodate their guests but just to make sure, you can make a reservation but thats not really required.

  11. Avatar

hi šŸ™‚ are we the one who will assemble the tent or is it in there already on the ground for ready use? thenks šŸ™‚

    1. Avatar

You just have to ride tricycle back from Cadiz Port to Cadiz Viejo Terminal, just where you drop off from Bacolod City, and wait for ceres bus from there to Bacolod City.

  12. Avatar

    Hello,
I just wanna ask about the tent, good for how many person per tent sir? We are two,and since its 300/head so we are going to pay 600 for 1 tent for overnight?

  14. Avatar

Tung rate nyo. Yan na yun till summer. Or my possibility na tatataas o low pa yan. My entrance fee ba Kayo? Just want to make sure. Thanks.

  15. Avatar

hi your overnyt cottages is 2,500 good for 4 persons so if we are 8 we have to get 2 cottages am i ryt and that would cost us 5thou how many beds r der in a cottage

    1. Avatar

      Hi Tricia,

Once you arrive at the Bacolod-Silay Airport, just take a van to Silay City plaza where you can wait for a Ceres bus passing by going to Cadiz. You should be stopping at the Cadiz Viejo Bus terminal. From there, just ride a motor cycle or a tricycle going to the Cadiz Viejo port.

    1. Avatar

Umbrella Hut is good for 1-6 persons and Family Cottage is good for 1-10 persons, 100/exceeding guest; For daytime use only. This means you will have to pay the standard rate as long as you dont exceed the maximum capacity.

Lagawan.org is not associated nor affiliated with this resort and we cannot cater reservations or specific inquiries.

    1. Avatar

That depends. If you go by air, ride a public transport from Silay City to Cadiz Viejo (45mins to 1hr and 30mins). If you go by boat/roro via Dumaguete City, ride a ceres bus to Bacolod City and follow the Bacolod City route (10 hrs and 45 mins). If you go by roro to Escalante, just ride a ceres bus to Cadiz Viejo (2 hrs).

True dat! They must be confident in CK if they are playing hardball. I like th208#&a3t;good management. If Alex stays it is insurance to allow CK to develop on a reasonable time line but when the time comes AS’s contract is not a burden.
