I was invited by my former supervisor to join her tour in Antulang Beach Resort in Siaton, Negros Oriental and experience her travels as she started her newly created blog — A Case of Wanderlust. I have been with her in her few team building activities since I got in her team a year back. I was with them on our Boracay Escapade, my first Isla Gigantes getaway, the Cangcua-ay Resort Team Building Joiners, and the Malapascua Island Resort tour. I never heard Antulang until she introduces it to us and I have to join a group of people I never meet, well I should have been used to.

Things to Remember when going Antulang Beach Resort

Antulang Beach Resort

  • You are welcome but foods are not. They are very strict with bringing outside foods and drinks. They won’t charge corkage so you will have to leave your food outside.
  • Foods especially drinks are too expensive. You will have to pay P48.50 for a 235ml bottled water. Maybe because of its remote location from the city where the products can be bought.

  • Don’t go without your own transport service. Trust me, you are making it hard for yourself.
  • Not recommended for solo travellers. If you wanted to go for a solo travel, forget about this place and go somewhere else.
  • Have an on-the-road snacks with you. The road is winding and challenging. Make sure to keep your stomach full while you travel.

My Antulang Beach Resort Experience

We started off from Bacolod City at about 6:30 AM heading south via Kabankalan-Dumaguete road. We got to Dumaguete City at about 12:00 Noon and started heading to Antulang Beach Resort with our rented van.

Antulang Beach Resort

At the crossing to Antulang, we thought that the beach is just near but to our dismay, we have to travel for at least 6 more kilometers to reach the result but all the efforts and patience worth it. The place is relaxing and the beach is refreshing. We just ordered some lunch since P200 from our entrance fee is consumable.

We then just took pictures of the place and relax for a bit. Unfortunately, we just swim on the beach which is a bit rocky and the waves are at timess big since an additional of P200 per person to use the pool is impractical. To be honest, this is the most expensive resort I have been to, ever. I still like the villas though, you will have a chance to swim in your private pool.

We just spend the whole afternoon there and stayed the night at a hotel in Dumaguete City.
